Customer Service Representative (part-time on-call)

Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for performing all customer service duties associated with the sale and distribution of BioCARE products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
  • Assures quality customer service to all customers.
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
  • Receives and processes written verbal or electronic customer orders, preparing all required forms and documents and utilizing the most cost-effective shipping method(s).
  • Completes data entry for all inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, and sales orders.
  • Coordinates shipments and receipts, including the monitoring of inventory withinBioCARE and other storage facilities.
  • Performs inventory counts throughout the month and reconciles all variances.
  • Assists supervisor with problem resolution in the areas of product orders, transfers, or any inventory movement from any of our distribution sites.
  • Works with assigned Account Manager(s) and other BioCARE staff to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels at assigned consignment accounts to ensure proper stocking levels are maintained and short-dated inventory is rotated.
  • Assists Account Managers and/or center staff in reconciling consignment or center product inventory variances and general troubleshooting research.
  • Assist Accounting Manager and finance with past due accounts and general receivables issues.
  • Performs back-up for all BioCARE duties in the absence of the Senior BioCARE Representative.
  • Prepared to work on-call shifts as needed, which includes product transport from warehouse to local hospitals.
  • Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.


    REQUIREMENTS:

    Knowledge/Education



    • High School graduate or GED required.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.


      Licenses/ Certifications

      Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

      Experience



      • One year customer service experience preferred.


        Skills/Abilities



        • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
        • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
        • Must be able to understand, follow, and give precise written and verbal instructions, and perform all activities safely.
        • Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills.
        • Must have proficient computer skills.
        • Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
        • Effective oral and written communication skills.
        • Must be able to work flexible shifts.
