Position description
The Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for providing continuous
ECG monitoring to inpatient telemetry patients. The MT maintains
close communication with nursing care units in regards to patient
monitoring and arrhythmia notification. The MT follows emergency
procedures for critically acute code situations. The MT works in an
inpatient hospital environment and/or work area that operates 365
days per year.
The MT has successfully completed Mayo Clinic s ECG competency and
monitor training course within designated time frame after
hire.
