transportation. About the Role The DevOps Engineer will play a
critical role in driving automation, reliability, and scalability
across PrePass’s software delivery pipelines and cloud
infrastructure. This role supports both development and production
environments and is central to our migration and ongoing operations
within GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure, and AWS. You will collaborate
closely with engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency,
system stability, and operational excellence. Essential
Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline Management Design, implement, and
maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support automated
build, test, and deployment workflows. Integrate pipelines with
Azure and AWS services to enable multi-cloud deployments. Ensure
pipelines are reusable, templated, and well-documented to support
team-wide adoption. Source Control & Collaboration Manage GitHub
repositories, enforce branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow), and
oversee pull request workflows. Partner with development teams to
migrate codebases from Azure DevOps to GitHub, ensuring smooth
transitions and clear communication. Cloud Infrastructure
Management Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources in
Azure (VMs, AKS, App Services) and AWS (EC2, S3, EKS, IAM).
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using
Terraform. Support hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including
VPN configuration and network security. Automation, Monitoring &
Reliability Automate operational tasks using scripting languages
such as PowerShell or Bash. Monitor and optimize application and
infrastructure performance using Datadog and Azure Monitor.
Troubleshoot deployment issues and production outages, conduct root
cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions. Security &
Compliance Integrate security controls into CI/CD workflows
following DevSecOps best practices. Manage secrets and credentials
securely across GitHub, Azure, and AWS environments. Ensure systems
and processes comply with organizational and regulatory standards.
Continuous Improvement Evaluate new tools and technologies to
enhance DevOps practices and platform reliability. Mentor junior
engineers and contribute to technical discussions and process
improvements. Requirements Qualifications Technical Skills Strong
hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD
automation. Proficiency with Azure and AWS cloud platforms,
including resource provisioning, networking, and security.
Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. Scripting
proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash. Familiarity with
containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker,
Kubernetes, AKS, or EKS. Experience with monitoring and logging
tools, including Datadog and Azure Monitor. Solid understanding of
networking fundamentals and cloud security best practices. Bonus /
Preferred Skills (a plus, but not required) Experience with MySQL
database management. Familiarity with AWS services including
CodeDeploy, Secrets Manager, Elastic Beanstalk, ElastiCache for
Redis, SES, and S3. Soft Skills Excellent communication and
collaboration abilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical
mindset. Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional
teams. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical
experience. 3 years of experience in DevOps or a related
engineering role. Relevant Azure, AWS, or DevOps certifications are
