Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Bachelor of Science
degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy AND/OR Doctor of
Pharmacy (PharmD) Two years of clinical pharmacy experience
preferred Description: We are a thriving healthcare facility
providing services to an underserved population. Our pharmacy
operation is robust, with a strong team and advanced technology. We
fill an average of ~1000 prescriptions a day utilizing various
tools, including robots and counting devices. Our services include
a vaccine clinic and a warfarin clinic, with plans to add new
clinics. We participate in community outreach and assist clinical
teams throughout the facility. We support the profession through
preceptorship of pharmacy interns and local high school students
interested in pharmacy or healthcare. Our pharmacists enjoy
excellent benefits, including healthcare and multiple student loan
repayment options. Staff on the unit includes 6-7 outpatient
pharmacists, 4 outpatient clerks, 4 outpatient technicians, and a
billing team. We use the ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System and
are transitioning to a new electronic health record system.
Automated medication dispensing systems include Omnicell ADCs and
the Kirby Lester counting machine. Key Responsibilities: Direct,
manage, and supervise daily administrative operations to ensure
quality service and compliance with standards. Develop operational
and financial outcome measures and monitor systems. Implement and
evaluate departmental policies and procedures. Assess program
effectiveness and facilitate continuous improvement. Supervise
staff and provide timely feedback for professional growth. Plan,
direct, and evaluate information and dispensing systems for
efficiency. Manage purchasing and inventory functions for effective
pharmaceutical access. Coordinate professional growth opportunities
for staff. Prepare monthly progress reports and identify areas for
improvement. Participate in departmental orientation and
educational programs to maintain skills. Minimum Qualifications:
Five years of professional experience, including two years of
management experience. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; PharmD
preferred, including one year of residency. Current and valid state
Pharmacy license required. BLS certification must be obtained
within 30 days of hire. Candidates should be able to successfully
pass a background check and drug screen. Requirements Required for
