to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85013! Neuro
ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty:
Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift:
12 hours Experience: 1 year of ICU experience, 18 months if coming
from a Neuro ICU unit License: Valid nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience -
EVD experience - Strong neuro assessment skills - ICP monitoring
experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse
to work in a Neuro ICU. Travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates
must pass a specific exam prior to acceptance. There is a
two-attempt limit for the exam. If candidates fail, they must wait
6 months to reapply. Candidates are required to maintain certain
personal grooming standards. Men must be clean-shaven for fit
testing. Nurses will need to complete skills validation during
orientation. The hospital expects every nurse to be competent in
maintaining a sterile field. Training includes lifts, restraints,
and wound care. Common diagnoses include conditions requiring
critical care with a neuro diagnosis. The unit handles procedures
such as craniotomies, brain tumor removals, and complicated spine
surgeries. Traveling nurses will be required to float between all
ICU floors and Tele units. Patient ratios include 1:2 for ICU care.
The cancellation policy allows for shift cancellations. Charting is
conducted through a specified system. A BSN is preferred for the
