This position is for a Utilization Nurse (UR NURSE). Schedule is
Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a 100% remote
position. The candidate will need to go onsite to acquire
equipment. The role involves monitoring and providing technical
assistance to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and
statutory obligations related to the physical/acute care services
and behavioral health needs of members. Responsibilities include
monitoring over and underutilization, conducting reviews, providing
oversight and technical assistance, and evaluating information from
multiple sources, including utilization data, case file reviews,
and audits. The nurse will coordinate care with external and
internal stakeholders as needed, make referrals as necessary, and
participate in clinical staffing as required. This role serves as a
resource for medically necessary covered services. Experience
needed includes a BSN Degree, 2 years of experience as an RN, and a
minimum of 1 year working in behavioral health. Requirements
include an active RN license within the state of Arizona and a
