Key responsibilities include preparing the cath lab for diagnostic and interventional studies, assisting with coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placements, and other catheter-based procedures; maintaining sterile technique, coordinating with fluoroscopy and imaging techs to optimize visualization, and monitoring hemodynamic systems to ensure patient safety throughout the procedure; assisting with pre- and post-procedure patient assessments, documentation, and equipment maintenance, while adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards; troubleshooting equipment and supply issues to minimize delays, and communicating clearly with the procedural team to support efficient, high-quality patient care.
