Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions,
dispensing medications accurately, and supporting optimal patient
outcomes through clinical oversight and education. The role
requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a
commitment to patient safety and high-quality care. Key
Responsibilities Review and interpret physician prescriptions for
accuracy, appropriate dosage, and potential drug interactions.
Prepare and dispense prescription medications to patients in a
timely and accurate manner. Counsel patients on proper medication
use, storage, potential side effects, and adherence. Monitor
patient medication therapies for effectiveness, safety, and
contraindications. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other
healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy and patient
care plans. Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed,
controlled substances, and inventory levels. Ensure compliance with
all applicable legal, regulatory, and safety requirements in the
pharmacy. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other
pharmacy staff as needed. Stay current with new medications,
treatment guidelines, and pharmaceutical best practices through
ongoing professional development. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy
(Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Valid pharmacist
license in the relevant state (e.g., AZ). 2 5 years of experience
in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred. Excellent
communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to
detail and organizational abilities. Proficiency with pharmacy
software systems and related technologies. Working Conditions
Requires standing for extended periods during shifts. May involve
evening, weekend, and holiday work as operationally required.
Routine exposure to medications, medical substances, and
confidential patient information, with adherence to privacy and
safety standards. Preferred Skills Experience with medication
therapy management (MTM). Bilingual language abilities.
Certification in immunization administration or vaccine
delivery.
