Position Overview: NuVision is seeking an Optometrist to join our team in a leadership-focused role. This position will support multiple locations as needed, including coverage for doctors on maternity leave. The ideal candidate is passionate about dry eye management, eager to expand clinical expertise, and committed to creating a positive, hands-on office culture. Compensation and Employment Details: Competitive sliding-scale compensation model Pay negotiable based on experience Full-time position Benefits: Insurance allowance Paid time off 401(k) retirement plan Paid holidays Licensing assistance and payment Clinical Focus and Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive eye examinations and medical optometric care Diagnose and manage dry eye disease with an active, treatment-focused approach Place and manage amniotic membranes; familiarity with different membrane types is strongly preferred Evaluate and manage specialty contact lens cases, including scleral lenses; experience with scleral lens fitting and preferred brands is a plus Educate patients on treatment plans and long-term ocular health Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate closely with staff and leadership across all NuVision locations Leadership and Cultural Expectations: Serve as a culture leader within the office, setting the tone for teamwork and patient care Lead by example with a hands-on, no-ego approach Support team operations when needed, including assisting with phones or patient flow during busy periods Actively participate in practice growth and clinical development initiatives Qualifications: Doctor of Optometry degree Current and active optometry license Dry eye experience strongly preferred; enthusiasm for developing advanced dry eye expertise required Willingness to learn new technology, systems, and treatment protocols Lifelong learner mindset with openness to feedback and growth Ability and willingness to float between all NuVision locations NuVision offers a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where optometrists are empowered to expand their clinical skills, lead with integrity, and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
