Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. Description: Travelers could float to a sister facility if needed. All clinicians must present a valid driver's license at the time of submission. Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility in the past year. A pass/fail simulation lab is required on the first day. The unit consists of 16 beds, with an average of 16 cases per day. Charge Nurse responsibilities do not apply. Weekend shifts are required to be worked in rotation with core staff. Holiday shifts will also be required. Scrub color is navy blue. Telemetry is available, but ventilators are not. An IV team is not on-site. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Floating to a similar facility may be necessary. Two days of floor-specific orientation will be provided. Common procedures include medical-surgical telemetry and post-surgical cases. The charting system utilized is CERNER. BSN is not a requirement. This position is within an acute care setting.
