Let your career find its purpose here at Abrazo. \n\n\n \n\n\n RN Manager OR Full Time Days Position Summary \n\n\n Single or multi-department management of operations. Manages day to day operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains, and evaluates staff. Enforces policies, procedures, and standards of operation. Position may have budgetary or fiscal accountability. Renders individualized comprehensive nursing care, based on nursing process, to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and educational needs. Manages the staff to meet designated goals. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning. \n\n\n Responsibilities: \n\n\n Patient Care: Provides patient care according to designated standards and practices. Assists in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care. Establishes a mechanism to track customer service performance and takes corrective action to address any issues. \n\n\n Management: Participates in the development of annual budgets that reflect appropriate expenditures for personnel, supplies, and equipment. Manages to budget; monitors variances between budgeted and actual expense reports and takes action to correct negative variances within appropriate timelines. Assists with Kronos/payroll to assure accurate data entry. Participates in the interview, selection, and orientation process for new team members in collaboration with nursing management, RN staff, and other team members. Completes appropriate reports and institutes appropriate measures in the event of an unusual occurrence, e.g., patient fall, medication error, etc. Responsible for the containment of department costs and conservation of supplies, equipment, and linen. Acts and intervenes with ethical issues including clinical concerns, sexual and harassment issues, and physician/nurse relations. Maintains confidentiality in all department-related issues. Evaluates the department/service’s performance against specified targets and takes appropriate actions. Participates in committees Maintains a state of continued survey readiness. Provides leadership for continued survey readiness team. \n\n\n Employee Management: Responsible for day-to-day staffing and making appropriate decisions based on patient needs and skill level of caregiver. \n\n\n Responsible for developing the staffing schedule and posting it within established timeframe guidelines. Guides staff in the advancement of their education and leadership skills, particularly team building, conflict resolution, and delegation. Schedules days to day activities i.e., breaks, sending people home, etc. Coordinates and participates in assuring completion of the orientation competency checklist for new hires and annual competencies for all employees. Manages employee performance by participating in evaluation process and coaching. \n\n\n Assists the Director with special projects as delegated. Conducts staff meetings as needed. \n\n\n Special Skills: Must be able to work under deadlines. Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations. Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Personal computer skills required. Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines. \n\n\n SUPERVISES: Designated Unit. \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n THE RN MANAGER OR FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE \n\n\n MINIMUM EDUCATION: Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School or Bachelor Degree in Nursing. \n\n\n PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master Degree. \n\n\n MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years relevant clinical nursing experience. \n\n\n PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years management/supervisory experience \n\n\n REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona.
