an employee.JOB DESCRIPTION:Position Summary:The Distribution
Center (DC) Shift Manager assists with the creation, and is
responsible for the execution, of strategic building objectives, as
well as oversees the tactical execution. Responsible for all
aspects of his/her shift's operations to include (but not limited
to): planning, organizing, and monitoring the receiving, storage,
and shipping to ensure a smooth and consistent operation.Primary
duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for maximizing customer
experience through the coordination processes and operations across
the DC.Oversee building maintenance and outside vendors.Respond to
employee needs and manage difficult employee situations in a
professional, respectful and timely manner.Monitor the quality,
quantity, and efficiency of the movement of product.Monitor the
shipping from the DC, to ensure the products are delivered in an
accurate and timely manner.Conduct annual performance reviews and
provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line
management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary
actions), ensure effective collaboration across all
functions.Ensure time allocation and management of resources,
according to changing needs and demands.Study and standardize
procedures to improve efficiency of operations.Works closely with
peer(s) and employees to improve work relationships, improve the
employee experience, increase productivity and improve
retention.Interview and hire new employees.Issue written and oral
instructions.Continue personal growth and development by using
tools, resources, and relationships with other leaders.Analyze
business and performance trends and metrics to develop solutions,
programs and policies.Maintain safe, neat and clean work area by
adhering to SanMar safety regulations.Other Duties as
assigned.Requirements for Position:Ability to work with and keep a

exemplary performance in regards to attendance, accuracy, and
productivityEducation & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in related
field or equivalent work experience.2+ years supervisory experience
preferred.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job,
the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and
arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use
hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently lift and/or move up to
25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The
employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:Work environment is
moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work
near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in
weather conditions. Employee must be able to work in high-demand,
high-volume environment and meet customer deadlines. Employee must
be flexible and available to interact with employees at all
