Job Title: Staff Accountant Overview Proud Source Water is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for general ledger activities and accounts receivable. The candidate must have strong communication, technical and analytical skills. This position will work in a dynamic and ever-changing, complex environment. In this role, you will: - Assist with month-end close to ensure reporting deadlines are met. - Perform detailed account analysis. - Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. - Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. - Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions. - Communicate with customers regarding their accounts and respond to inquiries related to billing and payments. - Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve customer issues and disputes. - Develop and implement collection strategies to reduce the aging of accounts receivable and improve cash flow. - Proactively find solutions and create best practices. - Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP. - Work closely with shared service center in Malaysia. - Ad hoc projects as necessary. They also… - Experience with customer billbacks. - Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments. - Understanding of consolidations and eliminations. - Possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate general accounting information to internal and external customers, including non-financial executives. - Be able to build relationships across the company. - Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Experience with Acumatica ERP system. REQUIREMENTS - Two years of relative experience. - Bachelor’s degree in accounting. - Organized, highly motivated and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. - Ability to identify business challenges and opportunities and develop and suggest solutions independently. - High level of professionalism and positive demeanor. - Working extended hours as needed.
