Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a SANITATION MANAGER for their manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ.Responsibilities:---Lead, coach, and manage a team of 38 FTE (including 3 supervisors) across 3 shifts---Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards---Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work rules and procedures---Support compliance to plant quality and food safety systems, pest control, sanitation, environmental policy, corrective action policy, etc. ---Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed---Ensures master sanitation schedules are maintained.---Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed---Orders all cleaning chemicals and maintains adequate levels are cleaning inventory---Participate and lead continuous improvement efforts for the departmentQualifications & Requirements:---3+ years of quality or sanitation leadership experience in the food industry---Knowledge of food safety programs and systems: GFSI (BRC or SQF preferred), internal auditing, cGMPs, HACCP---strong CIP experience required---Open to working on a 1st shift Monday- Friday with occasional weekend or holiday work as needed---Strong familiarity with sanitation chemicals and ordering/storage of these materials.---Microbiological and sanitation experience preferred
